Nat is a Colombian-American photographer, writer and darkroom printer who is currently documenting unseen parts of America. They are also working on publishing their first book, a four-year love letter to Coney Island, called Coney Island: In Color.
Nat works exclusively with film and specializes in the traditional color darkroom, where they hand-print all their work.
Their ongoing project, American Spectacle, ran as a full-page spread — pairing their photographs with their essay — in The New York Times' Sunday Opinion section for Labor Day weekend. A photograph from the project was also recently named National Geographic's Photo of the Day.

I've been spending my time under mossy trees, watching cowboys and cowgirls compete in rodeos, invited onto horses, sharing food with the Seminole Tribe, and sitting inches from bulls in the chutes. When kids look at me with curiosity, I hand them my camera. I carry a small green notebook so people can write their names in it — a way of remembering everyone I meet. The goal is simple: that the photographs become a window into their life.
